The BMW Concept i8 Spyder, according to BMW, is the next step towards mass production of the BMW i8, sustainable sports car that also should look attractive. BMW i is a sub-brand of BMW with an emphasis on sustainability. The i8 Concept Spyder is a hybrid. It is equipped with a 96 kW electric motor and a 1.5-liter twin-turbo three-cylinder engine generates 223 hp and 300 Nm. The combined maximum power is 354 hp.

To keep the vehicle as light as possible, large parts are made ​​of aluminum and carbon fibers. Due to this it has a top speed of 250 km / h in five seconds and shoots from zero to 100 km / h. Yet it would average only three liters of fuel per 100 kilometers consume. And it can drive 30 kilometers purely electrical.
